PLEASE PRAY THIS WEEK FOR;

 

Please pray for the Lords blessing on Charlotte Richards. Today is her birthday! This week she will be involved in Member Care/Pastoral Care Meetings at the World Horizons Centre in Wales and handing back the running of the Asia Office to the person who usually does the job. Charlotte then has 6 days’ holiday in Devon.

 

Also pray for the candidates considering confirmation on May 11th at Cranleigh School; Katherine Bicknell, Ruth Hodges, Thomas Millard, and Peter & James Thompson.

 

 

 

BLACKHEATH VILLAGE FAIR

MONDAY MAY 5TH, 2PM ONWARDS

 

Please support the Blackheath Fair this Monday where there will be over 60 stalls, shows & refreshments raising money for local charities, schools and other good causes.

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN SURREY

 

Guildford Cathedral is holding a service on Sunday 18th May at 3pm, and are inviting Christians from Surrey and Hampshire to come together and mark the centenary of the week of prayer for Christian unity. There will also be a children’s workshop, and all will be followed by a ‘bring your own picnic’.

Income from our regular giving no longer meets our ongoing expenses and the upcoming redecoration project will deplete our reserves and legacies, to the point where we need to act urgently to increase our regular giving.

¯On Sunday 18th May Blackheath welcomes Cranleigh Deanery churches to Prayer Book Evensong at 6.00pm. Come and join us for worship!

Between September 2008 and August 2009 Becky Ntamba is joining us from Uganda to serve our Church and community.  She will be 23 and speaks English fluently.

CHURCH WEEKEND BREAK

Wokefield Park, Mortimer, Nr Reading

 

This is a great opportunity for St John’s and St Martin’s church family to spend time away together in pleasant surroundings for relaxation and worship.
