Street Wardens

Matthew 9:37
Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
Matthew 9:36-38   Luke 10:1-3

Street Warden Co-ordinators -:      Barry & Chris Goldsmith.

The role of Street Wardens is to be responsible for their designated patch in the village; to deliver the Parish Magazine monthly and make contact with as many people as possible whilst doing so.   There are some 35 people involved in this activity and of course we are always looking for more volunteers.

There have been many changes in the Street Wardens lists, and also there have been quite a number of Street Wardens who had, for various reasons, to give up their duties.   Fortunately we have been blessed with an equal number of new volunteers willing to take up the reins.

We had a very good get-together in January 2006, meeting up as a team, and also to remind ourselves of the Street Wardens' aim.

Newcomers’ Pack

A pack is kept updated by the Church Administrator, for giving to new arrivals in the villages.  About 60 are typically distributed in a year by street wardens, when they see that a house has new occupants, or to people visiting the church for the first time.
